Formwork approaches real estate as a series of design problems: challenges to be distilled to their essence and resolved through simple solutions with broad impact.
We are a multidisciplinary real estate development company with expertise in design, development and construction management. Our work is rooted in its place, and we excel at mixed-use and urban infill developments. Formwork has a successful record navigating complex entitlement issues, executing projects with unique operational needs, and utilizing state and federal historic tax credits. With broad expertise and focused execution, we create exceptional places and deliver outstanding returns to our investors.
An is a young professional student intern at Formwork who assists in overseeing design, construction, and performing general project management responsibilities. An is pursuing a dual degree in Master of Architecture and Master in Sustainable Development at Tulane University.
An graduated with a bachelor of science degree in architecture from the University of Cincinnati and possesses a portfolio of high-end residential, healthcare, and retail work experience. Originally from Vietnam, An aspires to contribute new perspectives to create successful designed-based real estate projects.
Jeff is a skilled and experienced senior manager and general contractor with a proven track record of success in both the hospitality and construction fields. Jeff leads project management and property management for Formwork Development and ensures that our projects are constructed correctly and completed on time and on budget.
Jeff holds a degree in hospitality management from the University of Mississippi and began his career with the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans. As Front Office Manager, Jeff was responsible for a staff of fifty employees, and also coordinated special events such as Super Bowl week in 2002 when the hotel hosted NFL executives, coaches, and former players.
As Construction Manager for Lennar Homes in Houston, Jeff oversaw the completion of several hundred new homes in five different subdivisions resulting in total sales to the company of about $60 million. For 15 years, Jeff was self-employed as a General Contractor renovating traditional and historic homes in the New Orleans area. In this capacity, Jeff has presented at Historic District Landmark Commission and Vieux Carre Commission meetings to discuss renovation plans for historic homes. Jeff’s company completed renovations for more than three hundred traditional and historic homes as well as commercial projects with an aggregate value of over $40 million.
A native New Orleanian, Jeff is engaged in a number of charitable organizations in New Orleans including Hogs for the Cause which raises money to support children with brain cancer. He is also an active member of the Team Gleason Foundation, an organization providing resources and opportunities to people living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
David founded Formwork Development in 2014 to pursue design-focused real estate projects in the greater New Orleans area.
Prior to founding Formwork Development, David lived and worked in New York City, where he led all phases of development for Barrett Design & Development. As a Senior Architect with TEN Arquitectos, a renowned global design practice, David directed the design of complex projects of up to 1.3 million square feet, headed the international competition winning team for the 2015 Pan-Am Games in Toronto, led the design of 300 Ashland Place and oversaw construction of Hotel Americano, both in New York City.
David holds Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Urban Studies degrees from Yale University, is a LEED accredited professional, an NCARB member and a licensed architect in Louisiana and New York. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), a Junior Achievement Rising Star, a graduate of the New Orleans regional leadership Institute (NORLI), served as a member of the Youth Empowerment Project 40 under 40 and is on the boards of the NOCCA Foundation and UnCommon Construction.
