May & Ellis

Two vacant, connected warehouses showed great promise but featured deep floor plates that limited access to light and air. To address this shortcoming, Formwork carved two new lightwells into the building’s interior. These dynamic spaces fill the 25 residences with natural light and reference historic French Quarter courtyards. Amenities include a rooftop deck and lounge, exposed cypress beams and columns, solid oak flooring and custom finishes. French Truck Coffee and Justine — a French brasserie — occupy the ground floor retail spaces and establish May & Ellis as a premier French Quarter destination.
